Telangana: SCCL teams shine in All India Mines Rescue Competitions

Hyderabad, Dec 11 (UNI): Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) achieved a remarkable feat at the 54th All India Mines Rescue Competitions held recently in Nagpur, securing a total of 20 awards this year, the highest among all 36 participating teams. At the competions, men’s team won the championship and the women’s team secured the second position.
SCCL CMD N. Balram, expressing delight over the achievement, congratulated the men’s and women’s rescue teams during a video conference on Thursday.
He praised the men’s team for clinching the overall championship and the women’s team for securing second place in their debut appearance.

Death toll from Spanish fatal train crash rises to 45

Madrid, Jan. 22 (UNI) The death toll from Sunday's train crash in southern Spain has risen to 45 after Spanish Civil Guard officers discovered two additional bodies on Thursday.
The bodies were found after authorities extended the search perimeter around the crash site near the town of Adamuz, in the province of Cordoba. About 200 Civil Guard agents were involved in the operation, supported by search dogs, drones, and infrared equipment.
