Telangana's missing transgender candidate produced before Court

Hyderabad, Nov 29 (UNI) Transgender candidate M Chandramukhi, contesting the Telangana Assembly elections from a constituency in Hyderabad, who had turned up at a police station late on Wednesday night, after she went missing the previous day, was produced before the court by the Banjara Hills police here on Thursday.
Based on a habeas corpus writ petition filed by transgender’s mother M Anitha, the Hyderabad High court on Wednesday directed police to trace Muvvala ,who is contesting on a Bahujan Left Front (BLF) ticket from Goshamahal Assembly constituency against BJP candidate Raja Singh and Congress candidate Mukesh Goud.
In her petition, Anitha expressed that her daughter has been fighting for the rights of transgenders and one of the rowdy sheeters in the area had threatened Chandramukhi and in this back ground they are suspecting that the local rowdy elements might have kidnapped Chandramukhi.
