Telangana's COVID-19 caseload surge to over 2.24 lakh with 1,486 fresh positive cases recorded

Hyderabad, Oct 20 (UNI) The COVID-19 caseload surged to 2,24,545 in Telangana as 1,486 fresh Coronavirus positive cases were reported till 2000 hours on Monday.
Seven patients had succumbed to the contagious Coronavirus in the last 24 hours pushing the overall COVID-19 deaths to 1,282 translating into case fatality rate of 0.57 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate was 1.5 per cent, a state health department bulletin said on Tuesday.
A total of 1,891 patients had recovered from COVID-19 between Sunday and Monday taking the cumulative number of recoveries in the state to 2,02,577 constituting a recovery rate of 90.21 per cent while the National recovery rate was 88.6 per cent.
