Telangana Rising Global Summit sees record Rs 5.75 lakh cr investment commitments

Hyderabad, Dec 9 (UNI) The two-day Telangana Rising Global Summit concluded on Tuesday at Bharat Future City with an unprecedented surge of investment interest, as companies from across India and abroad pledged large-scale projects in the state.
According to government sources, the summit attracted agreements worth Rs 5.75 lakh crore, marking the highest investment commitment ever secured at a single event in Telangana.
Officials said the response reflects strong global confidence in the state's new industrial vision and governance reforms.

Seven TN fishermen arrested by Lankan Navy, Stalin writes to EAM seeking their release

Chennai, Jan 21 (UNI) Seven fishermen from Tamil Nadu were on Wednesday arrested by
the Sri Lankan Navy along with their two boats for allegedly fishing in their territorial waters,
even as Chief Minister M K Stalin wrote to External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar urging
him to prevent further apprehensions and secure their release along with their fishing boats
by utilising appropriate diplomatic channels.
