Telangana reports 593 fresh COVID-19 positive cases, three fatalities until Sunday night

Hyderabad, Nov 30 (UNI) Continuing the decline in COVID-19 cases, Telangana recorded just 593 fresh positive cases till 2000 hours on Sunday taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 2,69,816 so far.
With three more patients succumbing to the contagious Coronavirus in the state in the past 24 hours, the COVID-19 death toll has risen to 1,458 till date translating into a case fatality rate of 0.54 per cent as against the countrywide death rate of 1.5 per cent, a state health department bulletin said on Monday.
As many as 1,058 people have recovered from Coronavirus between Saturday and Sunday pushing the total recoveries in the state thus far to 2,58,336 with a recovery rate of 95.74 per cent while the National recovery rate was 93.8 per cent, the bulletin said.
The number of active cases in the state now stood at 10,022 including 7,946 individuals in home or institutional isolation.
More than 33,000 swab samples were tested to detect the deadly virus in the past 24 hours and out of which the reports of 364 swab samples were awaited.
A total of 54,53,461 COVID-19 tests had been conducted since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) continued to be the main contributor of the virus cases by reporting a maximum of 119 positive cases in the last 24 hours followed by Ranga Reddy district (61) and Medchal Malkajigiri district (55).
The remaining positive cases were contributed by other districts, the bulletin added.
