Hyderabad, Apr 27 (UNI) As COVID-19 cases continue to soar in Telangana, the state registered yet another record of 10,122 fresh Coronavirus cases until 2000 hours on Monday taking the cumulative number of positive cases to 4,11,905 till date.
The state recorded 52 COVID-19 deaths afresh to take the total death toll to 2,094 so far translating a case fatality rate of 0.50 percent as against the countrywide mortality of 1.1 per cent, according to a state health department bulletin here on Tuesday.
In all, 6,446 people have recovered from Coronavirus statewide in the past 24 hours to push the cumulative number of recoveries to 3,40,590 thus far constituting a recovery rate of 82.68 per cent while the National recovery rate was 82.5 per cent.
The state currently has a total of 69,221 active cases, the bulletin said.
Between Sunday and Monday, 99,638 swab samples were tested in the state to detect the contagious virus and out of which the reports of 5,474 swab samples are awaited.
Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, more than 1.26 crore COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far.
The worst-hit Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) remained the top contributor of the infection by reporting 1,440 Coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours followed by Medchal Malkajigiri district 751, Warangal Urban district 653, Rangareddy district 621, Nizamabad district 498, Nalgonda district 469, Khammam district 424, Mahaboobnagar district 417, Karimnagar district 369, Suryapet district 303, Vikarabad district 281, Kamareddy district 279, Yadadri Bhonigir district 278, Sangareddy district 262, Nagarkurnool district 257, Warangal Rural district 233, Siddipet district 230, Medak district 229, Rajanna Sircilla district 225, Jagityal district 204, Mahabubabad district 202, Mancherial district 195, Bhadradri Kothagudem district 174, Peddapalli district 169, Jangaon district 160, Wanaparthy district 157, Adilabad district 140, Nirmal district 129 and Jayashankar Bhupalpally district 101.
The remaining new COVID-19 cases have been reported by other districts, the bulletin added.
