Telangana Police plans dedicated Traffic Management and Road Safety Bureau

Hyderabad, July 15 (UNI): The Telangana Police has initiated steps to establish a dedicated Traffic Management and Road Safety Bureau to strengthen road safety measures and reduce road accidents across the state.
Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand, who chaired a high-level review meeting with senior police officers to discuss the proposed bureau's organisational structure, operational framework and implementation roadmap, emphasised strengthening inter-departmental coordination, improving traffic enforcement, analysing accident data and creating sustained public awareness on road safety.
During the meeting, officials deliberated on the bureau's functions, staffing requirements, legal framework and administrative mechanisms.
