New Delhi, Jan 15 (UNI) Telangana IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu on Wednesday urged Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to extend cooperation to make Telangana the leading producer of semiconductors in India.
As part of his visit to New Delhi, Sridhar Babu met Vaishnaw to discuss Telangana’s initiatives in semiconductor manufacturing and related industries.
During the meeting, Sridhar Babu outlined the incentives and facilities being provided to semiconductor manufacturing industries under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
He expressed confidence that Telangana would emerge as the top semiconductor producer in the country in the near future.
The minister also highlighted the state government’s efforts in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
He pointed out that many leading companies are showing interest in establishing data centres in Telangana.
Emphasising the importance of data security in the current digital landscape, Sridhar Babu proposed the establishment of a National Disaster Recovery Zone and appealed to the Union Minister to prioritize this critical initiative.
Congratulating the Centre on the progress of the prestigious Semiconductor Mission, Sridhar Babu noted that the mission’s next significant event is scheduled for February 24 in Hyderabad.
He reaffirmed Telangana’s commitment to supporting the mission’s goals and fostering a robust ecosystem for semiconductor and technology industries, according to an official statement. UNI VV SSP
