Telangana govt to create two more divisions in Agriculture Dept

Hyderabad, Oct 23 (UNI) To strengthen the agriculture department in the state, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday evening instructed that the Department should create two more divisions in the department headed by an IAS officer for each division.
Mr Rao, who held a review meeting on Agriculture at Pragathi Bhavan here, said that the Telangana State is fast emerging as the Agriculture-based state and in tune with this, the agriculture department also should strengthen itself.
The entire map of agriculture changed after formation of the Telangana state when compared to the situation under the united AP, he said the Telangana State became the highest Paddy producing state in the country and a lot of progress is made in other crops too.
