Telangana govt requests centre to release pending grans/amount to state

Hyderabad, Sept 17 (UNI) Telangana Government on Friday requested the Union Government to release the pending amount and funds to the state of the year 2018-19 to overcome the financial crisis facing the state.
In a letter addressed to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman, state Finance Minister T Harish Rao said IGST amount of Rs 13,944 crore was left unapportion and retained in the Consolidated Fund of India and in which, the state's share amounts to Rs 352 crore ( 4.03 percent of 50 percent share amounting to Rs 281 crore and Rs 71 crore as tax devolution).
The estimated amount received by the state through tax devolution is Rs 142 crore leaving a balance of Rs 210 crores, the minister stated.

Couple commits suicide by hanging
