Telangana: Cong demands ECI to send central forces to conduct Dubbak bypoll

Hyderabad, Oct 27 (UNI) Charging both the BJP and the ruling TRS of indulging in money politics to win the Dubbak bypoll, Congress on Tuesday demanded that the Election Commission of India (ECI) should send central forces to conduct the election scheduled for November 3.
In a letter to the ECI, Telangana Congress election committee chairperson Marri Shashidhar Reddy also demanded that the ECI should direct the state police to book cases against those who are indulging in bribery, corrupt practices and violation of code of conduct.
Referring to the Rs 18.67 lakh cash seized from the residence of the father-in-law of the BJP candidate Raghunandan Rao, Mr Rao said this is not the first case as Rs 40 lakh was seized a few days back from four persons who admitted to be the followers of BJP Candidate.
