Kolkata, Dec 24 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today called on his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna to discuss the proposed Federal Front (FF) in view of coming Lok Sabha election in 2019.
The two CMs met barely three days after former J&K chief minister Farooq Abdullah called on Ms Banerjee to discuss a common platform for united opposition.
After meeting Ms Banerjee, Mr Rao told reporters that they had very fruitful talk and would hold talks again in future. Mr Rao also invited Ms Banerjee for a visit to Hyderabad.
Ms Banerjee, who is also chief of state ruling All India Trinamool Congress, has been contacting various political leaders of regional parties as well as the national to spearhead an anti-BJP forum.
Ms Banerjee has been saying the 2019 Lok Sabha poll will spell doom for the saffron party.
The TMC supremo has already declared a rally at Brigade Parade ground on January 19 where leaders from anti-BJP parties are expected to take part and chalk out future course of action.
