Tejaswi Yadav files nomination from Raghopur

Patna, Oct 15 (UNI) Bihar Leader of Opposition and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav today filed his nomination papers from the Raghopur Assembly constituency for the upcoming state elections.
Accompanied by his father and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, mother and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi and sister Misa Bharti MP, Tejaswi filed his papers at the Hajipur Collectorate amid a massive gathering of enthusiastic supporters.
This will be Tejashwi’s third consecutive electoral contest from Raghopur, a seat considered the traditional stronghold of the RJD. He first won from Raghopur in 2015 and went on to serve as Deputy Chief Minister in the Grand Alliance government. In 2020, he retained the seat and emerged as the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly.

Two held in Delhi in major heroin trafficking cases linked to Mizoram

Aizawl, Nov 7 (UNI) Mizoram Police have arrested two key accused persons in connection with two major heroin trafficking cases, both linked to transnational drug networks operating between India and Myanmar.
Mizoram Police, in a statement on Friday, said that on November 4, a woman identified as Lalchhuanthangi (50), a resident of Khatla South, Aizawl, who had been living in New Delhi, was apprehended in the national capital by a team from Zokhawthar Police Station with the assistance of the Special Bureau and Delhi Police.

TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee loses Rs 55 lakh in cyber fraud involving dormant bank account

Kolkata, Nov 7 (UNI) Senior Trinamool Congress leader and four-time Lok Sabha MP Kalyan Banerjee has reportedly fallen victim to a major cyber fraud, losing more than Rs 55 lakh after criminals gained access to his dormant account in a nationalised bank using forged KYC documents.
