Tejashwi writes letter to 35 top opposition leaders for support to protest against SIR in Bihar

Patna, July 19 (UNI) Leader of the opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has written letter to 35 top opposition leaders across the country including Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and Mamata Banerjee, seeking their support to protest against large scale irregularities in ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) before assembly elections in the state.
Yadav, in his letter to top opposition leaders, pointed out that ongoing irregularities were being committed in ongoing SIR before Bihar assembly elections.
There was apprehension that 12 to 15 percent voters could lose their rights to exercise their franchise as Election Commission, on being instigated by BJP, was engaged in irregularities, he pointed out.

Centre releases Rs 15 20 crore XV-FC grants for Mizoram village councils

Aizawl, Jan 16 (UNI) The Central government has released Rs 15.20 crore to Mizoram for its rural local bodies under the Fifteenth Finance Commission (XV-FC) grants, providing a significant boost to grassroots governance and development across the State.
The amount, released during the financial year 2025–26, represents the second instalment of untied grants for the financial year 2024–25.
