Teenager died, two injured in snow avalanche in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 30 (UNI) A teenager boy was killed and two others were injured when they came under a snow avalanche in border area of Machil forest in the frontier district of Kupwara, where authorities have warned of snow avalanches following heavy snowfall during the past 24 hours.
Official sources said a group of three teenagers were buried under a snow avalanche at Chuntiwari Balla in Machil this morning. However, locals and police immediately launched an operation and rescued two of them in an injured condition but could not save Mehrajuddin.
Javid Ahmad Khan and Abdul Rashid were rushed to local hospital from where they were referred to Kupwara.
