TDR period extended to assist passengers affected during Kerala floods

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 13 (UNI) The Railways have extended Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR) period to assist the passengers affected during Kerala floods.
Due to torrential rains and floods in Kerala and Kanniyakumari District of Tamilnadu, several trains passing through flood/landslide affected areas had to be cancelled by the Railways from August 15 onwards.
Many passengers who had to move out from home to safer places due to the floods have been able to go back to their homes only after many days and still many passengers are not able to retrieve the details of their tickets for getting Ticket Deposit Receipts (TDRs) from stations after surrendering the tickets or for filing TDRs online for E-tickets booked through the IRCTC website.
