Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Aug 29 2016 12:08PM TDP, YSRCP MLAs detained, Sec.144 clampedGuntur Aug 29 (UNI) Section 144 was clamped in the Gurajala revenue division in this district as tension was mounted due to wordy duel between the ruling Telugu Desam party and Opposition YSRCP MLAs on corruption in Krishna Pushkaram works which reached its peak with the preparations for an open debate. Opposition YSRCP MLA Pinnelli Rama Krishna Reddy (Macherla MLA), for the past few weeks, has been making allegations against the ruling TDP that it indulged in huge corruption in the recently concluded Krishna Pushkarams works. TDP MLA Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao (Gurajala MLA) dared to prove the allegation or resign. The war of words between the MLAs reached its peak as they prepared for an open debate today, to be held in the Market Yard in Dachepalli town. Sensing that tempers have reached high between the TDP and YRSCP cadre, the police detained the YSRCP MLA at his residence in Macharla and also detained the ruling party MLA Y Srinivasa Rao. The police also held several YSRCP and TDP MLAs.
