TaxiBot completes operations with A320 aircraft

New Delhi, Feb 19 (UNI) Making a history in the alternate taxing solutions in the aviation sector, TaxiBot on Tuesday successfully completed operations for Airbus A320 family of aircraft by a commercial airliner.
All possible operational scenarios were successfully enacted in a live environment with TaxiBot attached to an A320 aircraft during the four-hour performance evaluation window at IGI Airport Delhi, showcasing the handling and operational capabilities of the semi robotic machine.
Three Airbus operators were present with Indigo airlines being the first to complete the trials successfully. The remaining two shall be doing the trials shortly.
Officials from Airbus process team, Indigo operations and engineering teams, DGCA officials from Flight Standards Directorate, IAI the designers of the TaxiBot, TLD the manufacturers of the TaxiBot, DIAL the operators of IGI airport, ATC controllers and TaxiBot India Team were present on the occasion.
