Kalka, Haryana, Aug 18 (UNI) Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said that now, if talks are held with Pakistan, it would only be held on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The Union Minister was addressing people at the inaugural ceremony of Jan Aashirwad Yatra, to be carried out in 90 Assembly constituencies of Haryana, here. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was also present on the occasion.
"Pakistan intends to destabilise, but we would not let this happen. Now, talks would only be held on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a befitting reply to Pakistan on Pulwama attack. Talks with Pakistan would only be held, if it stops supporting terrorism," Mr Singh said.
The Union Minister further said that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had quoted that India is planning for an airstrike, bigger than Balakot. He said that this has made it clear that India had made a strong airstrike at Balakot.
He said the Opposition party was making a lot of hue and cry over the Rafale deal, but they did not do anything to take Rafale, which would soon be a part of the Indian Army.
"If this had happened earlier, we would not have to send our brave soldiers for strikes like Balakot", he added.
He said that Articles 370 and 35A have been revoked from Jammu and Kashmir. He said on Kashmir issue, Pakistan had been visiting various countries. But, the neighbouring country has been asked to convene talks with India, on this issue.
After this, Mr Singh, in the presence of Mr Khattar, flagged off the Jan Aashirwad Yatra, which started from Kalka and would conclude at Rohtak, on September 8.
