Shimla, Jan 15 (UNI) Amid the continuing confrontation between ministers and the IAS and police association in Himachal Pradesh, Public Works Department Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Thursday said that he does not require high-security cover provided by IPS officers, responding sharply to the recent statement of the IPS Officers’ Association. Reacting to the association’s expression of concern over his remarks on IAS and IPS officers, Vikramaditya Singh said the IPS Association need not worry about his security as he is not a protectee of the IPS.
Shimla, Jan 14(UNI) The ongoing political–administrative row in Himachal Pradesh intensified on Wednesday with the Himachal Pradesh IAS Officers’ Association issuing a public statement expressing deep concern over recent remarks made by a serving cabinet minister that allegedly targeted officers on the basis of their regional origin. In its statement, the Association noted that public comments questioning the role or intent of All India Services officers, including those belonging to other states, are inappropriate and risk causing avoidable harm to the morale and neutrality of the civil servi.
