T-govt to purchase damaged paddy across state : Civil supplies Commissioner

Hyderabad, Dec 20 (UNI) The State Civil Supplies Department on Thursday informed that it will purchase wet paddy damaged in the recent Pethai Cyclone and asked the farmers not to worry .
In a release, state Civil supplies Commissioner Akun Sabharwal said the Department estimated that up to 3,491 tons of paddy got wet across the state and the department has taken measures to purchase every bit of it.
There is no shortage of funds and farmers will receive Munimum support price (MSP) of their paddy, the commissioner that as per latest reports, Civil Supplies Department has purchased 32 Lakh Tons of paddy from 6.15 lakh farmers at 3214 Paddy Purchase centers (PPCs)in several parts of Telangana state.
