T-govt earmarks Rs 1,000 cr for animal husbandry, fisheries development

Hyderabad, Mar 8 (UNI) Telangana government had earmarked Rs 1000 crore for the development of animal husbandry and fisheries in the state, State Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Diary development Talasani Srinivas Yadav said here on Friday.
Talking to reporters after assuming charge at the Secretariat here, Talasani said the main objective of the State government was to help lakhs of families who are dependent on traditional occupations.
The Minister, who also launched animal health card, Vijaya mineral water, Vijaya ghee and doodh peda, said that his government would spend Rs 12.18 crore for constructing veterinary hospital buildings and for providing medicines at hospitals.
