T-govt and WEF center sign agreement on drone deliveries

Hyderabad, Jul 18 (UNI) The Government of Telangana, World Economic Forum (WEF) Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Network and Health Net Global have signed a collaboration agreement for an innovative drone-delivery project called “Medicine from the Sky”, WEF said in a statement here on Thursday.
Under the agreement which held here on Wednesday, the project would run in partnership with the State Government of Telangana and HealthNet Global and would include a comprehensive study of drone-based deliveries for blood, vaccines, medical samples and organs.
According to the statement, the project would help facilitate better decision-making in healthcare supply chains, focus on 'last-mile' deliveries to augment national healthcare programmes, and address issues that affect the medical distribution system.
