Syrian President Assad Meets With Released Hostages From Suwayda – Press Service

DAMASCUS, November 14 (Sputnik) Syrian President Bashar Assad met with people from the Suwayda province who had been held hostage by the Islamic State terrorist group (IS,banned in Russia) for three months, his press service said late on Tuesday.
On November 9, Syrian and Russian military have liberated 19 Druze hostages, who were held by militants of the Islamic State terrorist group for more than three months near Palmyra, according to the Russian Center for Reconciliation.
“This is the last group of freed hostages, but no one has forgotten and will not forget about other kidnapped and missing people in other parts of Syria. The state and all its institutions see their problem as a priority and intends to reach them and release them by all possible means, ” Assad said at the meeting, as quoted by his press service.
