SWR ready with 270 coaches converted as isolation wards for corona patients

Hubballi, Karnataka, Apr 9 (UNI) As per direction issued by Railway Board, the South Western Railway (SWR) has converted and kept ready 270 Coaches as Isolation Wards/Quarantine Hubs as against 312 Coaches target set to it.
To provide facilities to Quarantine persons who have tested positive to the novel coronavirus, Zonal Railway is in a mission role of converting Sleeper Coaches to Quarantine wards by modifying the coaches as per prototype issued by Railway Board.
Consequent to nation-wide Lockdown starting on March 25 all passenger train services were suspended across the country, according to a release here on Thursday.
