SW Monsoon withdraw from Assam, Meghalaya

Pune, Oct 15 (UNI) Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from the entire country today, the 15th October 2024, Simultaneously, the Northeast Monsoon rainfall activity has commenced over the southeast peninsular India today, the 15th October. Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall occurred over southeast peninsula with isolated Heavy to very Heavy rainfall observed over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Kerala.
The Northeast Monsoon has been vigorous over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and active over Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at few places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Himachal Pradesh; at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. These were markedly below normal (-5.1°C or less) at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal; appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Gujarat state, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe,

1 pc stamp duty surcharge waiver for Project-Affected Persons purchasing urban poor housing: Dy CM Shinde

Mumbai, Nov 18 (UNI) Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today announced that project-affected persons in the Thane Municipal Corporation limits, who are purchasing individual housing units under the JNNURM and BSUP schemes, will be given a 1 percent waiver on the stamp duty surcharge while executing their housing agreement. Additionally, a nominal amount of 100 will be charged for the duplicate document, he said.
