SW Monsoon to withdraw from Tirupathi, Bengaluru and Mangaluru

Pune, Oct 23 (UNI) The withdrawal line of southwest monsoon continues to pass through Tirupathi, Bengaluru and Mangaluru. Conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from the remaining parts of the country during next 2 and 3 days.
In the regions where the southwest monsoon has withdrawn day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya and coastal Andhra Pradesh, appreciably above normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Rayalaseema and of south interior Karnataka and were above normal in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and of Telangana and in remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh. They were appreciably below normal in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and were below normal in some parts of Gujarat region and in remaining parts of west Madhya Pradesh and of Saurashtra and Kutch.
They were normal over the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature recorded was 37.5°C at Tirupati (AP) ( Rayalaseema).
