SW Monsoon to withdraw from parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal

Pune Oct 16 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has further withdrawn from remaining parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra (including Pune) & Goa states and Telangana; most parts of northeastern states, coastal Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka and some parts of north and westcentral Bay of Bengal, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka and some more parts of central Arabian Sea. Also conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from remaining parts of northeast India and some more parts of Bay of Bengal, peninsular India and Arabian Sea during next 2 - 3 days.
In the regions where the southwest monsoon has withdrawn: - Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and of Jammu & Kashmir and were above normal in some parts of west Rajasthan. They were appreciably below normal in Saurashtra & Kutch and were below normal in some parts of east Rajasthan and in remaining parts of Saurashtra & Kutch. They were normal over the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature recorded was 38.6°C at Ganganagar (west Rajasthan).
Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Odisha; appreciably below normal in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh,
