SW Monsoon likely to withdraw from Jharkhand in next 48 hours

Pune, Oct 24 (UNI) Conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal of South-west Monsoon from remaining parts of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and entire North Arabian Sea as well from some stretches of Odisha, north Maharashtra and Central Arabian Sea during next 48 hours and from the entire country during subsequent two days, forecast the India Meteorological Department here today.
It further said that rain with isolated heavy falls is likely over south Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra, south Konkan, Goa and Karnataka during next 24 hours.
Squally wind (with speed reaching up to 40-50 km per hour and gusting up to 60 kmph) is very likely over eastcentral Arabian Sea, along & off Karnataka coast, therefore sea is very likely to be rough to very rough in the same areas during the same period.
