SV Green with two Japanese firms to set up 12 MW Waste to Energy plant in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 9 (UNI) Sri Venkateswara Green Power Projects Limited (SV Green), a Green Energy subsidiary company of Hyderabad-based Nettlinx, collaborating with two Japanese companies, will set up “ SVGreen 12 MW Waste to Energy (WtE) plant “ at Pharma city, GHMC South Zone, on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
Nettlinx, as part of its business diversification and business expansion strategy, had acquired 40 per cent stake in “Sri Venkateswara Green Power Projects Limited – SVGreen.”

The total cost of the WtE project was Rs 258 crore and in which that the Both Japanese companies – Takara Leben Co.Ltd ( Takara Laben) and Kuni Umi Asset Management Company Limited ( kuni Umi) --would invest up to 30 per cent of equity, Nittlinx Company Chairman Loka Manohar Reddy said at a press conference here on Friday.
The proposed plant will be built by SVGreen with Technical collaboration with world leader in WTE sector “M/s Hitachi Zosen”, which have a track record of operating around 900 plants across the world, he said the upcoming state-of-the-art 2 MW WtE power plant (being upgraded to 124 MW) will convert 700 tons per day GHMC waste into energy.
The plant will be operational in next 18-months, he said SVGreen is also planning to set up 10 more WtE plants across the country in next five years with an investment of Rs 2,600 crore, Mr Reddy said.

SVGreen has obtained all necessary statutory clearances and approvals from the Telangana Government agencies including from State Pollution Control Board, to execute the project, he informed.
Out of 10 WtE projects planned, all are between 10-12 MW, 5 projects will come in Telangana including at one each in Karimnagar and Warangal and three in Karnataka, he added.
Takara Leben President and CEO Mr Kazuichi Shimada, Kuni Umi Executive Vice President Mr Akhilesh Kumar and SVGreen Managing Director K Venkateswar Reddy were also present.
