New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) today registered an increase of 43 per cent in its overall sales at 36,289 units in April, 2017 against 25,343 units over the corresponding month in the last year. For export markets, its sales rose to 7,535 units in the month under-review compared to 5,290 units in the year-ago period. Cumulatively, the company has recorded a sustained growth in its overall sales from 30,648 units in April 2016 to 43,842 units in April 2017. The robust growth momentum has enabled Suzuki to cross the three million unit mark and maintain a consistent double digit growth in sales, the company said in a statement. The 2017 flagship models in both motorcycles and scooters have been immensely appreciated by the customers, enabling the brand to carve a strong foothold in the industry. UNI ASH SHK 1619
