Suspended Congress MLA Ganesh remanded to 14 days Judicial Custody in connection with assault on another Congress MLA Anand Singh

Ramanagara, Karnataka, Feb 21(UNI) Suspended Congress MLA J N Ganesh was remanded to 14 days Judicial custody by CJM Court Judge M Anitha on his production on Thursday on charges of brutally assaulting another Congress MLA Anand Singh last month.
Kampli Legislator Ganesh, who was absconding since last one month after allegedly assaulting Congress MLA Anand Singh at a Resort near Bengaluru on Jan 20, was nabbed by a special police team and he was arrested at Somanath in Gujarat yesterday afternoon. He was brought by a special flight to Bengaluru and after questioning him by Bidadi police where the complaint is registered and after medical examination he was produced in the Court.
The incident took place at Eagleton Resort where all the Congress MLAs were shifted after a CLP meeting as the party feared chances of BJP trying to lure them by launching 'Operation Kamal'. They were shifted to the Resort on Jan 19 and the incident took place on Jan 20 midnight.
