Suspend policemen for harassing Tyagi's wife: RLD

Lucknow, August 16 (UNI) Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) general secretary Trilok Tyagi on Tuesday accused the police of harassing the wife of Noida abuser Srikant Tyagi and other women in the name of quizzing and demanded that the guilty policemen should be suspended.
The RLD leader said that self-proclaimed leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shrikant Tyagi has committed indecency with a woman on which the law is taking its own course and his party has no objection to this, but making Shrikant's wife and other women relatives sit at police station overnight unnecessarily on the pretext of interrogation raises questions on the working style of the police.
He claimed that Shrikant Tyagi's case was deliberately blown up by the police. "A reward of Rs 25,000 was announced on the arrest of an accused, who misbehaved with a woman, as if he is a terrorist and reward on his arrest was distributed, whereas in reality Tyagi surrendered," he said.
