Supreme Sikh Organisation launched in Jammu

Jammu, Oct 7 (UNI) Newly floated Supreme Sikh Organisation was launched on Saturday in this winter capital of the state.
The newly formed Sikh body named as ‘Supreme Sikh Organisation’, appointed Gurmeet Singh as its Chairman.
Mr Singh said that the organization has been floated in view of long pending demand of Sikh community of Jammu and Kashmir with a motive to share, promote the practice of Sikhism among Sikhs and other communities.
To make representations to the Government on matters affecting the Sikh community, representation of Sikhs at local, State, and National Forums, promotion of peace and harmony within State, to provide support and help to families whose children are addicted in drugs, alcohol, to promote for the Protection of human rights for Sikhs and all individuals irrespective of race, religion, gender, ethnicity and social status, are among the ideas behind.
The Chairman also announced other members of the organization.
