Aurangabad, May 25 (UNI) A 40-year-old farm labour from Sonijawala village in Beed district died due to sunstroke.
Sources said that the victim Bharat Gaikwad a farm labour had gone to market at Salegaon. While he was returning to his village, he sat under a tree where he collapsed due to excessive heat.
The health department confirmed his death due to sunstroke on Friday.
The weather department has predicted a possible rise in temperature across the state till May 28.
Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued warning that the parts of Marathwada and Vidharbha could face severe heat waive condition with temperature crossing 40 degree celsius.
On Friday highest temperature 46.6 Celsius degree was recorded in Chandrapur in Vidharbha followed by Nagpur 46 Celsius, Parbhani and Wardha 45 Celsius each, Nanded 44.5 Celsius, Akola 44.4 Celsius and Beed 42.9 Celsius.
The heat waive condition will continue in future, they added.
