Sukhbir Singh Badal unanimously re-elected President of SAD for third time

Chandigarh, Dec 14 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) delegates on Saturday unanimously re-elected Sukhbir Singh Badal as President of SAD for the third time at the Teja Singh Samundri hall in the Sri Darbar Sahib complex here.
After the start of the election process, Sukhbir Singh Badal’s name was proposed by Jathedar Tota Singh and seconded by Prof P S Chandumajra & Jagmeet S Brar. With no other contestant in the fray S Balwinder Singh Bhundur, who was designated incharge of the election process, announced election of Sukhbir Singh Badal as President of the SAD.
Immediately after being elected President of SAD amidst slogans of Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal, Sukhbir accepted the verdict with folded hands and was honoured with siropas by the senior leadership including SGPC & DSGMC Presidents Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal and Manjinder Singh Sirsa. Ms. Harsimrat K Badal was also honoured on the occasion.
