Sudden flash floods hit Mandi area of Poonch, vehicles damaged

Jammu, Jun 5 (UNI) Vehicles damaged and some household items destroyed in a sudden flash flood occurred in Mandi area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday evening.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Poonch, Ramesh Angral told UNI that it was not a cloudburst but a sudden flash flood, adding, “water suddenly gushed out of the mountains triggering flash flood in Dingla area of Mandi in which some vehicles damaged and household items destroyed.”
He said that items of cloth, grocery shops destroyed in flash floods besides some items in residential houses.
