Sudanese passenger admitted in Hyderabad tests negative for Ebola

Hyderabad, June 6 (UNI): A Sudanese passenger, who was admitted to the Ebola isolation ward at state-run Gandhi Hospital after being identified as a suspected Ebola case, has tested negative for the virus, hospital authorities said on Saturday.
The passenger, who arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Thursday, was shifted to the isolation ward after thermal screening at the airport detected a mild fever, according to authorities.
The Ebola test was conducted at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, and the results received on Saturday confirmed that the passenger was negative for the infection.
