Submissions in AAP govt, Centre turf war to continue in apex court on Wednesday

New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) Arguments of the Union of India in connection with the power tussle between the Lieutenant-Governor and the Delhi government will continue tomorrow in the Supreme Court.
The Delhi government had challenged a Delhi High Court order that had held that the LG is the boss of Delhi.
The Centre on Tuesday told the five-judge Constitution bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, that Delhi is a Union Territory and not a state.
The Aam Aadmi Party dispensation, it submitted, cannot claim the privileges of a state government.
Besides the CJI, the other four judges in the five-judge Constitution bench, were Justices Ashok Bhushan, Arjan Kumar Sikri, AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud.
The Union of India rejected the allegations of the AAP government, that the LG sits on the files sent by the Arvind Kejriwal dispensation and delays execution of decisions.
Additional Solicitor General Maninder Singh appeared for the Union of India.
