Students on cycle tour to Kanyakumari reach Pondy

Puducherry, Jan 4 (UNI) As many as 24 students of the Jeppiyar technical college at Sriperumbudur, who had embarked on a cycle tour from Chennai to Kanyakumari to create awareness on organ donation and water conservation reached here today.
The students met Puducherry PWD Minister Namasivayam who had greeted them. Starting their journey from Chennai to cover 1000 kilometers, they passed through Melmaruvathur, Tindivanam and reached Puducherry.
The students who are NCC cadets were accorded a reception at the NCC headquarters here. They will be reaching Kanyakumari on January 11 covering Cuddalore, Nagapatinam, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Madurai and Kovilpatti. They are screening documentary and enacting dramas to create awareness among the people.
