Student innovator selected India's batonbearer at Queen's Baton relay

New Delhi, Jan 13 (UNI) Student Innovator and environmentalist Vinisha Umashankar from Tamil Nadu has been selected as India's batonbearer at the ongoing 16th official Queen's Baton relay.
The 16th official Queen’s Baton Relay started at the Buckingham Palace in London on October 7, 2021 and is scheduled to conclude on July 28, 2022 at the Opening Ceremony of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The baton will be travelling 72 nations and territories of the Commonwealth for 294 days before reaching back London.
With the arrival of baton in India, the 27th nation in the route, the Queen's Baton Relay will continue in India from 12th to 15th January 2022.

New Delhi, Aug 12 (UNI) Supreme Court on Friday issued notice to Centre and others on a petition seeking to create a centralised database providing information about unclaimed amount of Rs 40,000 crore belonging to dead investors and account holders.
A bench comprising Justices Abdul Nazeer and JK Maheshwari asked the Centre, Reserve Bank of India, SEBI and others to file their reply on the petition filed by journalist Sucheta Dalal.
