Aizawl, Feb 13 (UNI) Struggling Aizawl FC today announced the appointment of Santosh Kashyap as the head coach, a day after Paulo Meneses exit, as the reigning champions virtually out of race for the top slot after four defeats in 13 games and now placed 6th with 17 points.
The Mizoram-based outfit, which stunned the Indian soccer by winning the championship last year, have now five games to play with a remote chance to finish at top for I-League season this time.
Aizawl FC let go of coach Paulo Meneses after failed to register a win in their last seven games.
