Strong winds likely along, off Kerala coast

Thiruvananthapuram, Jul 20 (UNI) Strong winds from Westerly direction, reaching at a speed of 40-50 kmph, are likely be along and off Kerala coast for the next 24 hours, Meteorological Department here said in an official statement on Saturday.
Sea condition will be rough to very rough and fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea, it said.
High waves in the range of 3.5 to 4.3 meters are forcasted during 1730 hrs on July 19 to 2330 hrs of July 21 along the coast of Kerala from Pozhiyoor to Kasargod and Lakshadweep Islands from Minicoy to Bitra.
