Strict action against Maoist if they hamper development process: Chatra SP

Chatra, Jan 15 (UNI) Superintendent of Police Akhilesh P Beriyar today said the district police would be taking strict action against the Maoists if they disturb the developmental works ongoing in the area.
During the monthly review of the crime in the district, he asked the police station office in-charges to become more responsible in their work and instructed them not to intervene in land related disputes without the cooperation of the CO of the area concerned. He also recommended DC Sandeep Singh to impose a complete ban on DJ sound in the district.
Later, talking to the press the SP said his team has been further strengthened after appointment of two ASPs in the district. He said under the leadership of these able officials, strict action would be taken against Maoists and opium smugglers.
