Stone pelting during Muharram procession in Bareilly

Bareilly (UP), Aug 9 (UNI) Agitated with playing DJ while taking out Muharram procession members of a community indulged in brick batting in Bhojipura area on Tuesday, a senior officer said here.
He said that this led to cross stone pelting by another community in which several persons were injured.
Superintendent of Police (Crime) SP Singh said that a Muharram procession was being taken out in Majhua Gangapur village in which a DJ was being played. "Members of a community objected to it and claimed that a DJ was never played during the Muharram procession. Terming it to be a new tradition they opposed it," he said.
