Statues of lead actors of 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2' unveiled in 10 cities

New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) As Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, the reboot of the iconic love story by Ekta Kapoor, gets ready for a premiere on September 25 on Star Plus, 23-feet-tall statues depicting the lead characters have been installed in 10 cities of India.The installation of the 23 feet-tall sculpture of two lovers in an iconic pose was unveiled by a number of celebrities in New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Nashik and Noida.

It is part of a promotional strategy for the show, that is set to premiere on Star plus on September 25 at 8 pm.The launch of the ‘Sculpture of Love’ is oart of efforts by Star Plus and Ekra Kapoor to pull out all stops to make the launch if the show an unforgettable and memorable affair.

Officials at Srar plus said the sculpture is the result of months of hard work and deliberation. These sculptures were made in Kolkata by the renowned sculptor Mr. Bhabatosh Sutar.

He and his team spent approximately 45 days to make these masterpieces with a team of 20 workhands working day and night.Bollywood actor Esha Deol and her husband Bharat Takhtani, who unveiled the statue at Mumbai, ecpressed

their delight at the unveiling.“We are glad that Star Plus gave us this opportunity to unveil this statuette of love and romance. In the fast-paced lives that we live in the city, this Kasautii Zindagii Kay idol with the iconic pose would make us stop, stare and think about love. We are sure this is going to be a new selfie point for all the lovers here,'they said.

In the reboot of the love story, Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes will play the roles of Anurag and Prerna respectively.The show was announced earlier this month by Bollywood’s King of Romance Shah Rukh Khan, who also introduced the lead pair to the audience.

Star plus officials say that though the show has been revamped, the theme remains the same.It’s the same story of two people who are madly in love with each other but fate doesn’t let them be together.
