Amidst slogan shouting by the Congress members, BJP Legislature party leader K V Singh Deo said the Accountant General office has deputed an audit team to collect documents from the Sports and Youth service department for a concurrent audit of the Biju Yuva vahini Scheme launched by the state government .
He said the team was to collect information about the objective, source of funding, annual allocation and amount released, nodal offices for implementation, implementing agencies, selection of beneficiaries, measures to maintain transparency and monitoring and supervision of the scheme.
But the Sports and the Youth Affairs Secretary in its reply stated that the officials are engaged in preparation of the Hockey world cup and expressed its inability to cooperate in the audit till the event is over.
