The Pune city police will deploy over 7,000 police personnel on security duty and have made a traffic management plan for Ganeshotsav. The police have appealed to mandals to follow the noise level norms.
The police force on duty will include 525 officers including two additional police commissioners, 15 DCPs, 36 ACPs, 200 Pls, APIs and PSIs, Also, 500 personnel of theHome Guards and three companies of SRPF, will assist the police.
Police personnel in civil clothes will keep watch on anti-social elements. Police will monitor 1,247 CCTV cameras from the control room at commissioner’s office.
