State, Centre cheated Jammu over Rohingyas deportation: J&K Panthers Party

Jammu, Dec 9 (UNI) Flaying the Union Government and the previous BJP-PDP alliance for delay and deny tactics over the deportation of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis from Jammu region amid brewing public anger, the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party on Sunday appealed to the civil society, intellectuals and social organisations, to come forward on a common platform and get rid of the 'menace' of illegal immigrants, which posed a serious threat to the security of Dogra land, besides its identity and culture.
While launching a scathing attack on BJP, JKNPP Chairman Harsh Dev Singh asked the Centre to come out with a concrete action plan to deport these unlawful foreign immigrants to their native countries without any further delay, or else, be prepared to face the public fury.
''Each time a demand was raised for their deportation; the Home Ministry came out with the stereotype reply that states had been asked to carry out their enumeration and collect biometric details,'' Mr Singh told reporters.
