Stall release of Modi's biopic 'PM Narendra Modi' during poll time, CPI to ECI

New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) Pointing out that the release of biopic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘PM Narendra Modi’ during the polls, will influence the voting pattern and violate the model code of conduct, Communist Party of India (CPI) on Wednesday wrote to Election Commission to stall the release of the film till the polls are over.
“Release of biopic ‘PM Narendra Modi’ during the election season, particularly during the period of polling is nothing but a campaign strategy and will surely influence the voting pattern”, CPI general secretary S Sudhakar Reddy said in the letter.
The Left party pointed out that the first phase of polling for the Lok Sabha elections starts on April 11 and will go on till May 19.
